Our community's largest day of nonprofit support of the year!
Last year, 505 volunteers united on the Virginia Peninsula to complete 34 transformative projects, demonstrating the incredible power of community and generosity.
Thank you to all of our sponsors, volunteers, and partner agencies!
WHAT IS DAY OF CARING?
Day of Caring is our community's largest day of the year for volunteering and recognized as the official kickoff for United Way of the Virginia Peninsula's annual giving campaign. Day of Caring brings together hundreds of volunteers from across the Virginia Peninsula to create a positive impact for nonprofits and human service providers helping our neighbors in need. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who lives or works in our community to gain a deeper understanding of local needs. Registration is available on www.volunteerpeninsula.org, where you can sign up for projects, such as completing yardwork for low income residents, reading to children, packing food bags for seniors, and more.
Stay tuned for more details coming soon regarding our event, projects, and activities.
