We’re excited to launch our first-ever UWVP Day of Action — a community-wide day of service and generosity focused on making a local impact. — and we want YOU to be part of it!

WHY DAY OF ACTION?

With many families facing food insecurity and rising everyday costs, the Day of Action brings people together in a simple but meaningful way to support our neighbors in need. It encourages individuals, families, coworkers, faith groups, and community organizations to take collective action for local food pantries across the Virginia Peninsula.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

📦Be Prepared to Download a Day of Action toolkit beginning in June

🛍️Collect or Shop for donation items with your group on June 20

📍Drop off completed donation boxes the following week at a local food pantry

📸Share your impact using #UWVPDayofAction

By working together, even small acts of generosity can create a ripple effect throughout our community. Details will be shared soon, and we invite people of all ages and backgrounds to join our inaugural day of service as we strengthen and support the Virginia Peninsula—one act of kindness at a time.
