Accountability
United Way of the Virginia Peninsula has completed all needed reporting requirements for United Way Worldwide and has been granted membership in their international organization. Categories reviewed included fiscal responsibility, governance, campaign policies and success and community investments.
We are recognized by Charity Navigator for our track record of efficiency. We only invest in programs that produce results at agencies that manage their money wisely.
Our high rate of efficiency is possible because of the hundreds of volunteers, including our Board of Directors, Campaign Cabinet and volunteer committees who help with everything from organizational oversight, fundraising, program review and funding process.
