It's not getting any easier. COVID-19 cases continue to rise and the economic fallout continues to hit low-wage (ALICE) families and individuals the hardest. Since the beginning, families receiving assistance are those who have never engaged resources before. Each week, there has been an increase in the amount of individuals and families seeking assistance. Help us make a difference in the lives of those who need us most.
United Way of the Virginia Peninsula's COVID-19 Emergency Fund is helping address the greatest needs as they arise. It is helping our community slowly rebuild but there is still a long road ahead. While COVID-19 has affected us all and is a part of our everyday lives, there are still emergency needs to be addressed and local neighbors who are in critical need of assistance. As other funding has declined or ceased, the UWVP Emergency fund may be one of the only options for assistance to local nonprofit and families.

Together, we will overcome this health and economic crisis. The fight is long from over, but we are rebuilding for a better, more equitable, more resillient community. We don't do our work alone. We are in this together because we are better together. It is the strength of our community partners, volunteers and donors that drives real change and we need your help!
Thank you to our community partners who have made gifts to the COVID-19 Emergency Fund:
